  • Sourced from wood, honeysuckle does not lose its potency as fast as catnip.  Customers regularly comment on how their cat have been playing with the toys for months on end.

Approximately 30 percent of cats do not react to catnip (pets.yahoo.com).  Customer feedback since our inception in 2009 indicates that cats who do not respond to Catnip will most likely respond to Honeysuckle.

  • Although there are 68 species of the Lonicera family of honeysuckle shrubs and trees growing throughout the world, only one seems to attract cats.

The wood from this particular species, Lonicera Tartarica, contains a harmless neuro-stimulant called actinidine. Actinidine is a chemical known to be attractive to members of the domestic cat family.
